Last edit at 11:29AM by Panopticon. Personally, I would spend the $42 or whatever for the current NEC or Pioneer. They have always worked either right out of the box, or with patchburn. NECs are supposed to be a wee bit quieter, and the Pioneers are supposed to maybe last a bit longer, especially if they receive heavy use. If that extra $15 is a factor, the Samsung is probably OK, but if I had to screw around with it for an extra hour, swapping it into a PC to screw with it, etc, the extra money is worth it to me.
